There are 7.4 Hogs Per Person In The State Of Iowa.

In 2024, The National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium in Dubuque, IA Became interested in my Hogs Project, commissioning a life-scale hog drawing for their 20th Anniversary exhibition.
This drawing was later assessed into the permanent collection of the museum. At the time, we wanted to have a satellite in the community in the form of the mural proposed below, but winter set in...so it goes.

Revisiting this idea in 2025, I am looking for a 42ft stretch of wall with 3ft from ground level within the state of Iowa. Proposing a wheat paste reproduction of this scale drawing 7.4 times to create a visual representation of the 7.4: 1 ratio - the viewer being the 1 in the ratio. Iām not making a statement either way - just illustrating the statistic - open for interpretation.
Wheat paste is a non-permanent method of gluing either vinyl or paper to a surface using a glue made simply from flour, water & salt. A paper wheat paste is expected to last outside for six - eight months, with slow degradation after that until it is all gone. A vinyl wheat paste may stay up to 2 years, and is more likely to come off in one-piece or a few large pieces.
Wheatpaste is easily removed via power-wash. Funds provided for removal. Removal timeline is [of course] at the discretion of the property owner.
